Mohair fur fabric is the champion of all teddy bear fur. All mohair fur fabric is made from mohair animal fibre woven on to a strong cotton backing. South African mohair is made on old looms and therefore produced in 1 metre pieces, you may find slight colour differences from piece to piece, it is recommended that you ensure you buy enough to complete your project as the next piece you receive could be slightly different.

Teddy bears have been made from mohair for over one hundred years and is still the most sought after fabric for teddy bear making. Our internationally sourced mohair fabrics are of the very highest quality. We currently hold the largest stocks under one roof of Schulte, Helmbold and South African Mohair fabrics in our warehouses based in the UK.

Non of our fabrics are CE tested and therefore are NOT recommended for young children

Our Mohair approx WORKABLE fabric cutting sizes are;

• 1/16 = approx 25cm x 33cm / 9.75" x 13.75" - This is our sample size - samples are NON returnable

• 1/8 = approx 34cm x 50cm / 13.75" x 19.5"

• 1/4 = approx 50cm x 68cm / 19.5" x 27.5"

• 1/2 = approx 68cm x 100cm / 27.5" x 39.5"

•  1 mtr = approx 100cm x 138cm / 39.5" x 55"

Please be aware that the hand dyed fabrics will be smaller than above due to shrinkage during the process.
